Where My Heart Belongs

My bags are packed with things I've brought from my village.

I realize that many of my happy memories are from my childhood.

Looking at the sun, I can see it's the same as it always was.

Looking at myself, I can see I'm the same me.

When the going gets tough, I still think of you.

I think of the village, the fields, the seashore, my friends, my grandmother, the forest, the peaks, the mountain paths, the wild greens, the wildflowers.

Whenever I'm happy, it's you that I think of.
